Money for Teen Drivers in Sandy Springs
August 21, 2008 by Lee Davenport
Let’s make Sandy Springs a safer place for our teenagers! To help in this endeavor, State Farm Insurance Company has awarded a $2,500 Good Neighbor Citizen grant to Leadership Sandy Springs to be used for student scholarships for the Safe Teen Driver Education affiliate in Sandy Springs. These scholarships will be awarded to disadvantaged teens to cover the cost of the driver training classes.
For more information on these programs or how to apply for the scholarships, visit www.safeamerica.org or www.ourcac.org. Members of the 2007 Leadership Sandy Springs class worked with Safe America, the City of Sandy Springs Police and Church of the Apostles to create a partnership to help make safe driver education available to all.
