Places To Love: LONG ISLAND WALK

October 24, 2008 by Lee Davenport

Once you start out along the winding roads of Sandy Springs, you can see why Sandy Springs is one of the fastest-growing, exclusive suburbs of Atlanta.  As you drive the 2 lane roads, you will notice neatly tucked away communities with stately real estate throughout.  Long Island Walk subidivision is no exception.

Traveling down Long Island Drive coming from Buckhead, you may stumble across the inviting real estate community of Long Island Walk on Limestone Way, near the Arlington Memorial Park and Mount Vernon Highway - making this community easily accessible to downtown Sandy Springs, Roswell Rd., Hammond Drive, GA 400 and I-285.

Once in the community, you will be charmed by the 2 story homes that begin in pricing in the mid-$600,000s.  The last home to sale in the neighborhood this year was a 5 bed/4.5 bath that was only on the market for 23 days and sold for $755,000 - yes, in this market!!

The real estate in this community all sit on nice-sized lots ranging mostly from 1/3 to 1/2 acres - giving you enough space from your neighbors but will not receive you to maintain massive amounts of land as if you were in the country.  Most of the homes sit on hills, adding flair to many of the homes layouts.
