Best Investments to Make Now!
December 19, 2008 by Lee Davenport
This year investors have experienced pandemonium in the financial markets but that doesn’t mean you should hang up your dollars and quit. So what investment opportunities in 2008 still weathered the nation’s financial storms? Rental real estate property!! From apartment buildings, to condominiums, to rental housing, investing in rental real estate properties has still proven to be lucrative, especially with the great discounts available in the real estate market now.
According to the 2008 RERC/CCIM Investment Trends Quarterly (a national commercial real estate market report) for the fourth quarter, apartments still remain the high note of commercial property investing. Believe it or not, I had a client just 2 weeks ago, close on a rental property (4 bedrooms, 2 baths) for under $20,000 in a neighborhood that still has comps in the high $80,000!! So not only can you profit from the income, but in this market, you can get the property at great deals, really never seen before!
But maybe you are frightened by the horror stories of some landlords, especially the inexperienced. To help alleviate your concerns, check out the links and tips below on land-lording. Happy Investing!
