MARCH Into These Business Events

Don’t miss the Chamber’s first annual Business Expo on Friday, March 6 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Westin Atlanta North. Come check out the nearly 100 businesses on display, sit in on one of our educational seminars or join us for breakfast! Parking and admission to the Expo and educational seminars is free. Bagels & Businesswill be held on Friday, March 6 (the day of the Expo!) from 7:30-9:00 a.m. at the Westin Atlanta North. This month’s featured speaker is Mr. Tom Fanning, COO of Southern Company. Networking @ Noon will be held on Thursday, March 12 from 11:15-1:00 p.m. at Food 101 in Sandy Springs. The cost to attend is $12 (cash only please) and includes your meal, beverage, tax and gratuity. Please email lindsay@sandysprings.org to get your name on the list for this meeting. Space is limited and reservations are required to attend.

 
The Small Business Council of the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce recently announced that nominations are now open for the area’s 2009 B2B CFO® Small Business of the Year Award. This award is sponsored by B2B CFO® providers of CFO services to small and mid- sized businesses.

Anyone can nominate a business and anonymous nominations are accepted. All nominations must be received by 2pm Friday, March 20, 2009. Click here for the Nomination Form.

Nominations are also open for the Comcast Fast Business Award. This award will be given to the nominated small business that has made the best use of technology within their business in 2009. The Fast Business Award is sponsored by Comcast.

The Keller Williams Realty Community Service Award will be given to the member business that exemplifies how a business can give back to the community. This award is sponsored by Keller Williams Realty (Sandy Springs Office).
