About Sandy Springs

Do you love the charm of Atlanta but want to experience life at a more relaxing pace?  Then Sandy Springs is a great place to live, play, and work!  One of the newest, rapidly developing cities in the Metro Atlanta area is Sandy Springs (incorporated in December 2005).  Sandy Springs, located in Fulton County, is Georgia’s 7th largest city, offering its residents and visitors the best of the south with a suburban flair.

As one of the most affluent communities in the Atlanta area, Sandy Springs is home to several Fortune 500 companies, including UPS, Mirant, and Newell Rubbermaid to name a few.  The two largest business districts in the area (with some of Georgia’s best restaurant and shopping boutiques) are the Roswell Road Corridor and the Perimeter Center, which include the landmark “King and Queen” buildings (how residents affectionately refer to the Concourse Towers visible from I-285 and GA-400 and identify where they are when lost J).

Also within Sandy Springs, you can rest easy knowing that you are surrounded by some of the nation’s best healthcare facilities including Northside Hospital (nationally known for its outstanding maternity ward), Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Saint Joseph’s Hospital.

It you are concerned and even frustrated about the overall quality of education in Georgia, you will be pleased to know that Fulton County’s average SAT scores (verbal 522, math 537) beat not only that of the overall state’s scores (verbal 491, math 494) but also the national average (ve4rbal 500, math 514).  The stellar schools in Sandy Springs include:
